Yes You Can-Can - ORIGINAL

Yes You Can-Can - ORIGINAL

“If you can't love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else?” - Ru Paul

A celebration of love in all of its many forms.

I especially love this painting because it reminds me of a can-can dancer joyously kicking and bouncing with life, love, and energy! (I cannot guarantee you won't join a dance troupe and become a joyous dancer if you bring this into your home.)

This painting is one of the "Art with Heart" series. 20% of the proceeds from this painting will be donated to The Trevor Project.

The characters in my name Makiko mean "full of joy" in Japanese. This is part of a series of paintings full of vibrant colors and dynamic movement that express the pure joy and happiness we feel when we are fully connected to our true selves. It's the joy we feel in the little things, in the people we love, and the connections we create with things that align with our hearts.

As with most artwork, it is best to keep it out of strong, direct sunlight to keep the colors from fading. You can also purchase a frame with special UV protectant glass.

Original paintings on mineral paper are sprayed with varnish and a UV resist protectant to help maintain the longevity of the painting. If an original artwork is on mineral paper it will be noted in the description.
